History

April1929 Founded as Takagi-Gumi, a personal business undertaking heavy construction.
Expanded business centered around heavy construction and contract work.
June1963 With the expansion of business and areas, Takagi-Gumi Co., Ltd. was established with a capital of 1.5 million yen.
February1965 The heavy construction department was separated from Takagi-Gumi Co., Ltd. and Nippon Heavy Cargo Co., Ltd. was established.
July1973 In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the incorporation of Takagi-Gumi Co., Ltd., it was reorganized and renamed to Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Organizational change on July 9, 1973).
April1975 Opened Japan’s first indoor tennis school, “VIP Indoor Sports Club Kinshicho” (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
August1979 The trade name of Nippon Heavy Cargo Co., Ltd. was changed to Nippon Heavy Co., Ltd.
February1981 Nippon Heavy Co., Ltd. and Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. merged (surviving company Nippon Heavy Co., Ltd.).
The capital was increased to 30 million yen and the trade name was changed to Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. This marked the launch of the new Takagi Kogyo Co.,Ltd.
October1985 A golf school was set up in addition at “VIP Indoor Sports Club Kinshicho”. Established the sports business department.
July1987 Concluded an agency contract with Sumitomo Marine & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (currently Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Ltd.) Established the non-life insurance agency department.
October1988 Completed Gotanda Takagi Building (7-19-1 Nishi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) and moved the headquarters to Gotanda Takagi Building.
December1989 Completed ShowajimaLogitem Center (Ota-ku, Tokyo). Established the real estate department by obtaining a land and building transaction license.
April1990 Acquired Asahi Transport Co., Ltd.
November1992 Completed AyaseLogitem Center (Ayase City, Kanagawa).
November1997 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Kameido” (Koto-ku, Tokyo). ※”TOP Indoor Stage” is our indoor tennis school's trade name.
March1998 Changed the trade name of Asahi Transport Co., Ltd. to Takagi Logistics Co., Ltd.
November1998 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Tsudanuma” (Narashino City, Chiba).
December2000 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Tama” (Tama City, Tokyo).
October2002 Integrated the heavy construction department and transportation department and established the logistics business department.
April2004 Established the human resources dispatch department by obtaining a general worker     dispatch business license.
November2004 Obtained a paid job introduction business license.
December2004 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Hikawadai” (Nerima-ku, Tokyo).
January2005 Established a personal information protection policy.
March2006 Launched our original job site “Job Search .net”.
April2006 Established ES Center (whistle-blowing window).
June2008 Closed “VIP Indoor Sports Club Kinshicho” (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
July2008 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Sagamiono” (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa).
November2010 Moved the headquarters from Gotanda Takagi Building to Gotanda HS Building (7-1-9 Nishi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo).
November2012 Set up a table tennis school at “TOP Indoor Stage Hikawadai”.
August2014  Spun off the logistics department by company split and established Takagi Kogyo Logistics Co., Ltd.
October2014 Transferred all shares of Takagi Kogyo Logistics Co., Ltd. to Yasuda Transport Co., Ltd., making it a non-subsidiary.
November2015 Obtained certification for security SERVICE Tokyo Sales Office”.
November2015 Moved “TOP Indoor Stage Tama” to Bessho, Hachioji City, Tokyo.
March2016 Established a corporate code of conduct.
April2016 Moved “TOP Indoor Stage Kameido” to Oshima, Koto-ku, Tokyo.
October2017 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Yokohama Cotton Harbor” (Yokohama City, Kanagawa).
December2017 Transferred all shares of Takagi Logistics Co., Ltd. to Musashi Trading Co., Ltd., making it a non-subsidiary.
